The massive acoustic fingerprint of a 19th-century Great Hall, immortalized.

Great Hall - Powerchords is a raw, cinematic guitar tool designed for texture, energy, and character. We recorded the heavy power chord performances of artist Rhesus Positive in a triple-height, stone and timber medieval style great hall located on the Jurassic Coast of England.

This instrument focuses on the unique relationship between a loud amplifier and a massive physical space. It delivers a natural depth and power that adds immediate scale to your tracks, from aggressive rock rhythms to epic cinematic underscores.

The Full Mixing Desk Experience

While the free Community Edition offers a curated stereo mix, this Full Version hands you the keys to the mixing desk. You get total control over the acoustic perspective with a complete array of microphone positions, allowing you to blend from a tight, focused dry sound to a diffuse, natural hall sound.

Key Features

6-Channel Mixer: Independent faders for Dbl (Wide Spot), Spot (Narrow Spot), Decca Tree, Outriggers (Ribbons), Far (A/B Wide), and a dedicated Reverb channel.

"Dry" Mixer Mode: Includes a dedicated "Dry" patch that unlocks the raw Ambient microphone fader. This bypasses the internal reverb engine, making it ideal for users who prefer to treat the raw room mics with their own external reverb plugins.

Extended Range:
Two full octaves of playable power chords (C2 - C4), suitable for both deep rhythmic riffs and melodic lines.

Parallel FX Architecture: The Drive and Filter engine processes every microphone channel individually, ensuring high signal clarity and definition even when using heavy distortion.

Advanced FX Suite: Features a versatile Drive section (Drive, Boost, Level), Master Filter (CC1), and a custom Convolution Reverb.

Surround Support: Includes dedicated Multi-Output instrument patches (Standard & Dry) for routing microphones to discrete outputs in your DAW, perfect for processing mic channels independently and for Quad or Surround mixing.

Performance Ready: Pre-mapped Expression (CC11) for musical swells and Filter Cutoff (CC1) for tonal shaping.

The Gear & The Hall

The sound was forged using a 90s-era Washburn Steve Stevens model guitar through a Marshall Valvestate 8040, capturing that specific, aggressive harmonic richness.

The Great Hall itself acts as the second instrument. With its 20-meter length and open oak timber roof, it provides a complex, diffuse reverb that sits naturally in a mix without needing artificial processing.
